A message from Director Ron James:

Hello, DNOA members! Welcome to the first official newsletter for our association. Publishing a regular newsletter has been a goal for us from day one, and it's my hope that this will be the first of many. We hope to utilize it to share important domain industry news and helpful domaining tips. Your feedback is appreciated!

The past three months have been a whirlwind of behind the scenes activity for our association. Wow! Our website received a much needed makeover and was officially split away from its home within NamePros.com server and forum. The "new and improved" DNOA now opens its doors to all members that share our ethical standards and vision of a self-regulated domain name industry. (Tell a friend!)

The DNOA development team -- Peter MacDonald, Richard Harkrider, Steve Castle, Thomas White, and Eric Sizemore, has been hard at work getting things up and running. Way to go, guys.

I also want to acknowledge Ken Parks, for his unwavering dedication to DNOA. He has been serving as our Chief Operating Officer for the past five months and is the driving force behind the revitalization of our association.

The DNOA Board of Directors has bid farewell to John Nguyen with an expression of our thanks, and now welcomes aboard Mr. Brad Evers.

Brad comes to the DNOA with an extensive background in theoretical and applied philosophical ethics. Throughout his education, he has served as an instructor and teaching assistant on a variety of topics, including Medical Ethics, Ethics, Environmental Ethics, Law and Justice, Philosophy of Human Nature, and Critical Thinking. We welcome his unique perspective and look forward to working with him.

There's still very much to do and many exciting things on our horizon. Please stop by the DNOA member forums and feel free to add your input. This is truly a membership-led organization and I'm glad to be a part of it with you.

Our initial purpose in providing this newsletter will be multi-faceted and will require a high level of member participation in the form of positive or constructive negative feedback. This method will assure that we get what we want, information to provide you with what you want, therefore your input will be critical in determining the direction and scope of information and services we deliver.

Newsletter Member Suggestions, Article Rating System, Founders Page, Member Written Columns from leading professionals within DNOA, Special Guest Columns containing exclusive insights from Industry leaders on present and upcoming changes in domain law, future tech advances, tips on front end and backend SEO, Design and integration techniques, updated links to resources and domain tools and much more.

We have added new Member Benefits, and with more to come in an ongoing process, we strive to serve you, the members in attaining your personal goals. The new forum has some outstanding features, there is a Tools section in user Control Panel with some nice goodies now and more on the way.
